About Your Race Director

Meet Karey Cooper, your RD. She is prior service, Army, mother of 3 & lives in the mountains (near the racecourses). She has run (and snowshoed) through the tough stuff and pushed herself to her limits in garbage weather, elevation, the middle of nowhere and has even cried over stairs at the Marin Headlands 50 miler (no shame). She has also ran through the good stuff - great friends, perfect weather, long distances and amazing scenery. She loves to run (LOVES) but, more than that, she is a fanatic supporter of each and every one of you. Karey believes that the minute you get out there to run any distance, anywhere, you are a runner and that makes you freaking awesome. Once you have run one of the Loco races, it is her belief that you are forever part of the ever growing Loco family and with that comes all the sweaty runner hugs and high fives (whether you want them or not).

Please support our wonderful sponsors!

REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & TRANSFERS

  • There will be no refunds issued for any of Intrepid Adventures races. Runners are welcome to transfer their registration to another runner up until 30 minutes prior to their race's start time. This can be done online via the UltraSignUp website 48 hours in advance, where you registered for the race in question. An email will be sent to the new runner from UltraSignUP with a link to register themselves. If less than 48 hours, please transfer at packet pick up or on race morning 30 minutes or more before your start time.

  • If a runner does not want to transfer their registration to another runner, they can transfer their registration to a future race within 1 YEAR from the original race date that is within the series and of equal or lesser value 31 DAYS OR LONGER PRIOR TO THEIR ORIGINAL RACE DATE. NO EXCEPTIONS. If they would like to transfer to a race that is more expensive a credit for the original amount, minus taxes and processing fees from UltraSignUp can be issued. Beginning 31 days from race day, permitting fees, swag, medallions, food, etc have already been purchased for the race by accounting for reach runner registered. At this point, we are unable to transfer registrations to another race since each runner's cost to participate in their original race has already been taken from their registration and used towards their original race.

  • In the event that the race is cancelled less than 31 days prior to the event date due to weather, permitting, registration issues or any other issues, Intrepid Adventures will do everything in their power to reschedule the race. If the race cannot be rescheduled, all registrations will be rolled over and credited to the following year's event.

  • If none of the above solutions can be utilized, please consider your registration fees a generous donation to our beneficiary, The Loco Youth Volunteer Scholarship Fund.
